Schooling: Primary school in Ayr. Secondary at All Souls boarding school in Charters Towers. Joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as an Apprentice Engine Fitter after year 10. Entered university at 33 and completed a Bachelor of Further Education and Training.
Career: 21 years in the RAAF, 7 years in private industry and 8 years (so far) as a public servant for the Queensland Government.
Interests: My children, sailing, reading and spending time with family and friends
Music: Beatles, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Norah Jones
